Who Should Attend?

The AEC Acoustics Best Practice Roundtables is for subject matter experts, solution providers, builders, team leaders, and business decision makers. We're deliberately smaller; a quieter "Acoustic" version of larger AEC conferences. The event is attended by globally recognized industry presenters, and practitioners. The Best Practice Roundtables event is focused on discovering best practice workflows for teams that design, engineering, and construct buildings.

Conversations > Presentations.

Formal presentations are guaranteed to work at big AEC conferences, which rightfully focus on a single host's solutions. But in the real-world, best practices involve integrating cross-vendor solutions designed to save time, money and stress. We understand that no single tool rules them all. Result? No silos or sales pitches, just sharing real-world experience. Our goal is that just one round-table discussion, lesson learned, and properly implemented solution recovers the entire investment in attending the event.

Grab a coffee and a seat at the table. No Powerpoint or pre-scripted handouts. Expect honest and open discussions about integrating a rapidly evolving AEC software and hardware space. Each facilitator leads a discussion in order to crowd-source best practice workflows across disciplines. It's not about enforcing brand loyalty; it's about discovering new ideas that scale when real-world results matter. Forget the buzzwords. We're focusing on best practices.

When registering be sure to indicate your interests by proposing up to 3 roundtable sessions. If selected, facilitators agree to complete a 2-3 page Executive Summary no later than one week after the event. Post event, executive summaries will be available for download by the broader AEC community. Complimentary registration is provided to all facilitators for the roundtable event.

Where We'll Meet

The AEC Best Practice Roundtables is an "Un-conference". T-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes are perfectly fine. We're about discussions without distractions; flashing lights or pulsing music. Disconnect and reconnect with recognized industry peers. Sunrise and sunsets. Campfires and crickets. This is an alcohol free, and family friendly event where everyone has time for quiet, focus, and be surrounded by nature.

Lake Swan Camp in Melrose, Florida is rustic, comfortable, and welcoming. Everyone has their own private cabin or motel style room. Yes, there's air-conditioning, wifi, and espresso! The camp borders a clear, spring-fed lake with a clean sandy bottom. Expect weather that's warm enough for a swim or paddle before breakfast or dinner. Typically mid-80s during the day and mid-60s at night.

Here's event highlights from the Fall 2024 AEC Leadership Retreat.
